Namíbia

After Mongolia, Namibia is the least densely populated country in the world with just three inhabitants per square kilometre. Though well-known for its wildlife, it seems to be the landscape, climate and hospitable people that attract visitors to Namibia.

Our Ministries in Namibia

Church Mobilisation

We as OM in Namibia want to come alongside local Namibian churches for two reasons.  First and foremost, to mobilise them to have hearts for the Great Commission of Matthew 28:19 and realise that this commandment was given to them as local churches.  We want to see them take up that responsibility and be involved in world missions through prayer and the sending and providing of resources.  Second, we want to come alongside churches to give any assistance we can in training, equipping and even providing resources to the people they want to send on missions trips or long-term missions placements.

Luke 24 Journey

The Luke 24 Journey is a personal journey within a team setup. We focus on hearing God’s voice, living by faith and obedience. As we travel through the mountains or the desert there are opportunities to minister to, or serve, people. The Luke 24 Journey is unique in the sense that it doesn’t have a fixed or planned programme beforehand. As we journey together we ask and trust God to guide us in our daily walk with Him. Our desire through the Luke 24 Journey is that people would receive or confirm a clear calling and be commissioned to be Disciple Makers wherever they may find themselves in the future.

Ministry Teams

We work in, or have partnerships with people, in the following communities:  Schip, Windhoek, Okahandja, Walvisbay, Outjo, Tsumeb, Katima Mulilo, Ovitoto and Divundu.

Although all these ministries are similar in their core work, they have a different mixture of: Discipleship Training, Bible Study, Teaching/Training, DBS groups, Church Planting, Relief Ministry, Mobilising and Evangelism.
